Johannesburg, South Africa - Goscor Power Products announced the launch of the MEIWA MSR7M double drum walk-behind roller as part of their ongoing expansion into the light construction equipment market.
Goscor power products launched a range of light construction equipment tested for the dry and dusty conditions experienced in Southern Africa during 2007. Products launched to date include the
MEIWA rammer,
IBA concrete mixer and
OSCAR plate compactors.
The latest product to be launched in this light construction equipment range is the
MEIWA MSR7M double drum walk behind vibrating roller, imported from Japan.
The MEIWA MSR series hand-type rollers are specifically used for patch and repair work due to its compact size and maneuverability. This vibratory roller is packed with safety features such as a dead man´s handle for safety and a brake with a lock pin system that makes parking safe and simple. The unit also comes with lights for operation at night and if switched on during the day creating awareness on the construction site.
As with any construction equipment, downtime and maintenance are important factors to take into account when purchasing equipment. MEIWA took these factors in consideration when they designed their products and the walk-behind vibrating roller offers the following to limit downtime and maintenance:
- The vibrating rollers are equipped with a centrifugal clutch which ensures better engine starting and load reduction.
- A coupling is used instead of a belt to connect the pump.
- The side frame is changed from a hook type to a rope rack type, which makes engine changing and maintenance simple.
- High rigidity tolerance frame due to an added shaft through the centre of the machine that ties up the left and right side.
- A standard sub tank is equipped to the main hydraulic tank to enable longer life of the hydraulic oil by reducing the load to the pump due to increased oil temperature.
"At Goscor power products we do not just provide clients with top class products, but believe in providing solutions which are suitable to customer needs. We did extensive research in the light construction equipment market and found that downtime and maintenance are the biggest contributors to construction contractors not making their deadlines. So we set out to find a range of products that will comply to this crucial requirement from the construction industry." Says Justin Kitson, manager at Goscor Power products.
Kitson continued to state that the MEIWA range of vibrating rollers have been tested locally and found to withstand the Southern African conditions which is very dry and dusty compared to other countries and the main contributing factor to failure of imported equipment.
These vibrating rollers are available from September 2007 and, construction and building companies and contractors are invited to visit
Goscor construction equipment for further details.
